Overit is looking for a writer first and social native throughout.
This role sits at the intersection of content and social: someone who can craft a blog post and a caption for the same client on the same day, and know exactly why each one sounds different. You'll write ad copy, develop content calendars, proof client communications, and help brands maintain a consistent voice across every channel we touch.

What You’ll Do- Write across formats: social copy, blog posts, ad copy, email copy, and long-form content for a variety of clients and industries
- Proof and edit client-facing content for voice consistency, accuracy, and brand alignment
- Develop and manage social content calendars across multiple clients and platforms
- Collaborate with designers, video producers, and strategists on campaign ideation and execution
- Monitor trends, platform updates, and cultural moments to identify content opportunities
- Assist with short-form video concepts, captions, and scripting
- Manage publishing and scheduling across platforms
- Track performance and translate data into actionable recommendations
- Contribute to paid social creative concepts and campaign support
You’re Probably a Fit If You…- Have 2–5 years of writing and social experience, ideally in an agency environment
- You're a strong, versatile writer, comfortable shifting between a formal membership association and a regional home remodeler without losing the thread of either
- You can write a Google ad, a LinkedIn post, and a 600-word blog intro in the same afternoon and make all three feel considered
- You sweat the details: a misspelled name in a client thank-you post bothers you
- You stay current on platform behavior, cultural moments, and what's actually working, not just what's trending
- You think strategically about why content performs, not just whether it does
- You're organized enough to manage multiple brands at once without letting anything go flat
- You collaborate well and take direction without losing your own editorial instincts
- You can move fast without getting sloppy
Bonus Points- Experience with short-form video: concepting, scripting, or directing
- Photography, video, or design chops
- Paid social experience
- Experience writing for professional associations, B2B organizations, or niche technical audiences
- Familiarity with email platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar)
- Comfort with AI tools as a workflow accelerator, not a shortcut
